Step-By-Step Process To Apply Acrylic Resurfacer
Surface Preparation
Ensure the base (concrete or asphalt) is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, oil, or loose particles.
Repair any cracks, depressions, or uneven areas before application.
Apply only after the primer coat (in case of concrete base) has fully dried.
Mix Acrylic Resurfacer with clean water in the recommended ratio (as per manufacturer’s guidelines).
For enhanced performance, silica sand or fine aggregates can be added to improve texture and filling capacity.
Stir the mixture thoroughly until a smooth, uniform blend is achieved.
Application Method
Apply the resurfacer evenly over the entire court surface using a squeegee or trowel.
Spread thin, consistent layers to fill small voids and create a uniform texture.
Apply 1–2 coats as required for proper leveling.
Drying Time
Allow the resurfacer to dry for 2–3 hours (surface dry).
For best results, wait 6–8 hours before applying the next layer in the system.
Next Step in System
Once the resurfacer is completely dry, proceed with cushion coats, color coats, and line markings to complete the sports court flooring system.
