Concrete Primer
Strong Foundation for Every Court
A Concrete Primer is the foundation of a high-quality sports court flooring system. It is specially formulated to penetrate into the porous surface of concrete, ensuring excellent adhesion between the base slab and the subsequent acrylic or synthetic coatings. By sealing the concrete, it prevents dusting, reduces surface porosity, and enhances the bonding strength of the top layers.

Step-By-Step Process To Apply Concrete Primer
Surface Preparation
- Ensure the concrete base is fully cured (minimum 28 days after laying).
- Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, and any loose particles.
- Repair cracks or uneven areas before applying primer.
Mix 20 KG of Concrete Primer with 32 KG of clean water in the recommended ratio.
Stir thoroughly until a uniform solution is achieved.
Application Method
Apply the mixed primer evenly on the surface using a roller, brush, or spray.
Make sure the coat is thin, uniform, and covers the entire surface area.
Drying Time
Allow the primer to dry for 2–3 hours (surface dry).
For best results, wait 6–8 hours before applying the next layer (Resurfacer).
Next Step in System
Once the primer is fully dry, proceed with Acrylic Resurfacer, followed by cushion coats, color coats, and line marking.
Note – Concrete Primer is only applied on a concrete base.
If your court has a bitumen (asphalt) base, do not use concrete primer.
